My son and his bookmark

Well it was an adventure yesterday. I recieved a call from my sons school yesterday morning. He hurt his ankle jumping down from a 5 foot boulder on the school property and should take him up to the hospital. Friday is not the greatest day to goto a hospital because it is always busy for some reason. It took awhile to get in--hours! Just for a xray!! Well he didn't break it at least. He did manage to give himself a huge sprain. He was suppose to go on a hike next week end and wanted to start running. He wont be able to do much for at least 2 weeks or more.  He can still work on his karate- upper part. No kicking or moving around much.

The funny part part of it all-- I had stitched a bookmark from Dork Stitch- Thor and Loki sprites. My son bugged me to finish the edges yesterday morning so he could use it in a book he was reading. I think LOKI wanted to cause grief to me yesterday!! Giggles!

Well that is it for today-- Everyone have a good week end! :) Happy stitchings~~

  1. Oh, emergency rooms are so slow! I hate being stuck in them, but I'm glad that it wasn't anything worse for him. Plus, your bookmark ended up being really cute! I'm hoping to finish the whole set later today- Loki and Black Widow are my last two, and all I have to do is fill them in a bit more. :S How did you finish the bookmark?

    1. I just fringed the edges--it is pretty simple to do really fast. You can still see the backing--but my son doesnt care too much!

  2. Oh dear, at least it's a good thing there is nothing broken! I hope he heals soon!
Btw, where my mom works, and I sometime in the summer, Fridays and Mondays are always the busiest days, because suddenly people decide to check whether they are going to survive the weekend, and then after, whether something happened to them during it.
Anyway, bookmark looks awesome, and I hope you all have a great week :)

    1. He is better--still cant bend it too much. He had alot of homework to do over the week end and that kept him off his foot. Well some of the emergencies are just silly- I should of just brought him home and see if the swelling went down over night. I did that when he did break his wrist. I thought he just sprained it--but the swelling didnt go away over night. It was a slight fracture in the end!
